Angad Singh Sena is a driven and passionate graduate student of Mechanical Engineering at The University of British Columbia, Canada. With a keen interest in Mechatronics, he is constantly seeking out proactive solutions to contribute to the world around him. Angad has received various awards for Public Speaking, including two at the South African National Level, and was featured on a radio frequency for his show ‘Ashley and Angad’s Afrikaans Class 101’ during his residence in South Africa. He also won the 1st Prize at the ‘5th National Martial Arts’ Tournament, playing KungFu, and enjoys playing musical instruments like the Keyboard and Congo, as well as horse riding. Currently working as a Scientific Software Developer at the Centre for Computational Technologies (CCTech), Angad has previously worked as a Research Mentee at the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), where he was mentored by Prof. KG Narayankhedkar from IIT Bombay and Dr. Anil Kadam from SGGSIE&T, Nanded. He worked on optimizing an Atmospheric Water Generator under extreme temperature and RH conditions to improve its performance and safety. Angad is also an Advisor at the Study Abroad Chapter SGGSIE&T. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vishnupuri, Nanded, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of British Columbia, which he expects to complete in 2022. With 2.85 years of relevant experience, Angad's tech stack includes software engineering.
